A leading premium womenswear retailer which has exciting growth plans is currently looking for an experienced Buyer to join their established buying team covering two departments. You will drive and develop a commercially exciting range.
Role and Responsibilities as The Buyer covering Knitwear:
- Manage the critical path and drive pricing architecture by delivering a customer-focused plan to maximise the sales and profit.
- Continuously monitor market activity, including regular comp shops and gather market intelligence including pricing analysis from a wide variety of sources taking appropriate commercial action.
- Building partnerships with suppliers and identify new partners ensuring we maintain the same high quality product, competitively negotiated prices and robust terms of contract.
- Drive critical path expectations and standards in line with business needs.
- OTB management.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in buying, preferably within a premium design led womenswear brand you will possess and sound commercial awareness, tough negotiation skills and technical competencies coupled with an acute eye for product, upcoming trends and the ability to build an on trend commercially viable range.
